As the president of the Cambridge Real Estate Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Shannah Hall Franckum builds on 30 years of experience in real estate. She has served in her current role since 2002, and, before that, she was the director of retail leasing for the commercial division of Hammond Real Estate in Cambridge's Brattle Square. Shannah Hall Franckum accepted that position after a successful 10-year tenure with Cambridge Development and Investment Associates, Inc. (CDIA), where she played a key role in the redevelopment of a prominent 22,000-square-foot property in the city's Porter Square area.

Shannah Hall Franckum took a primary role in the implementation of CDIA's merchandising plan for the Porter Exchange Building, which she hoped to transform into a center of Japanese culture. She successfully secured a number of Japanese business tenants, including a sushi bar and a Japanese grocery market. More than 25 years later, the facility has been purchased by Lesley University, but the Japanese businesses remain a mainstay of the building's character.

Shannah Hall Franckum began working in real estate following early-career experience in office management and administrative service in New York City. She holds an undergraduate degree from Fordham University and recently celebrated her 40th year of professional service.
